Akousma (4): schedule: Saturday, December 1, 2007
Gilles Gobeil: Trois
songes
8:00 pm — Studio Hydro-Québec —
Monument-National
This evening features a concert of acousmatic music — music spatialized using an array of 20 loudspeakers - with the composer handling the mixing desk. Three works, including one premiere. What can you expect from a Gobeil evening? François Couture would tell you: “As for Gobeil’s music, it is the wildness of wilderness, the turmoil of human passions, the sudden gestures, the copious splashes of sonic matter thrown all around.”
