With the multimedia performance Itinéraire du sel, we are invited to follow a solitary poet, the sole character on stage, as he draws us into his inner world, where we accompany him on a journey leading to creation…right up to the edge of madness. The poet character is at times intriguing or disquieting, often candid and delirious, as he evolves within a production ranging from sober and stripped-down moments to episodes illuminated by two screens of video projections and swarmed by music broadcasted by an array of loudspeakers. The show builds around the word, language, defying conventions and boundaries between music, theatre, and opera, as it uses multiples forms of presence (drama, poetry, gesture, music, video, writing…), thus creating a polyphony of meanings, contrapuntal significations, an exuberant number of emotions!
