CredoXrequiem (2002), 21m00s
The work CredoXrequiem is created partly out of a sample of the Introitus of Mozarts Requiem. In addition to those sounds samples created with physical models are used. The gestures of these samples are created by the model itself: the virtual instrument is played by a virtual player.
The sample of the Introitus is grainyfied. Bits of the sound of the original are transposed and recombined into a new order. Its like building a new house with the stones of an old one.
Voices of the introitus appear stripped of their initial harmonic context placed into a new field. Creating a new sense of time.
It is like if you loose the ground underneath your feet. There is nothing you can hold on to. And you dont know what to expect. It is uncertain where you are. All depends of your inner self. There is no way out of this. Try to remember what you find!
