This piece was commissioned by the Rien à Voir festival for its tenth anniversary.
Anniversary: a time to consider the past, to think of the future.
Self-portrait (autoportrait): a channel for such ponders, like it is for a painter; a tool to
dig in familiar images, sometimes loved, sometimes hated, too often taken for granted.
The self-portrait as an introspection, for a renewed conscience.
