Thursday October 2, 2008, 8:00 pm
Église Saint-Nom-de-Jésus 4215, rue Adam [métro Pie-IX + autobus 139 sud / métro Papineau + autobus 34 Est] Montréal, Québec
Moderns have always liked to remix the classics, and in this concert, the homages transcend the centuries with the premiere of a work for organ and electroacoustic music by Montréal composer Yves Daoust after the chorales in JS Bach’s Orgelbüchlein, with organist Régis Rousseau. In the concert’s first half, organist Isabelle Demers performs works by 20th-century composers who pay homage to their predecessors. Concert presented in collaboration with Orgue et couleurs (see the complete programme).
