This year, the SMCQ is celebrating Québécois composer Gilles Tremblay, the intent being to have all his works performed! Since the Chants Libres company is premieringTremblay’s first opera at Monument-National while we will be holding this edition of Akousma, we decided to bring both events together for something special. Réseaux is giving you the opportunity to listen to Centre-élan, the electroacoustic work Tremblayhad composed for the Quebec exhibit at Expo 67. A unique opportunity, we might add, for the piece has recently been unearthed from the archives and digitized by Jean-François Denis, Claude Schryer, and Robert Normandeau.
