Ragnar Grippe went in 1972 to GRM in Paris. In Paris he also studied privately for Luc Ferrari. In 1975 Grippe left for McGill Univeristy to broaden his background and studied under Bengt Hambraeus. In the late seventies Grippe began scoring feature films including five of the biggest box office successes in Sweden. He has also worked with choreographer Carolyn Carlson at the Paris Opera, composed music to the 200 year anniversary of La Scala, Milan, and composed operas as well as instrumental symphonic pieces. Between 1972-1988 he lived in Paris.
