Rolf Enstrom: biography

Rolf Enstrom (Sweden, 1951)
• composer

He has exclusively concentrated himself on electroacoustic music since the mid 70s. He won the Prix Italia in 1987 for his musicdrama Tjidjag/Tjidjagaise based on a recording by a Lapp exponent of the song called “jojk”. Enstrom’s pieces are often concerned with the problem of: “Man and the traces he leaves behind him - his determination and fatal ability to re-form nature, his will constantly to manifest himself and prove himself that he has a raison d’être.”
