Alessandro Cipriani was born in Tivoli (Rome) in 1959. He completed his studies in music at the Conservatorio S.Cecilia in Rome. Cipriani has collaborated for 10 years with visual artist Alba D’Urbano, composing the music for 4 videos and 4 sound-video installations and recently with visual artist Bizhan Bassiri and since 1994 has worked on intermedia pieces. He has taught electroacoustic music at the Ist. Mus. V.Bellini in Catania since 1995, and is one of the co-founders of Edison Studio in Rome, and Member of the Association “Musica Verticale” in which he actively collaborates for the making of the Festival. Cipriani’s music has been honored by many prestigious international competitions.
